Rozgar Mela Empowers Youth: Over 71,000 appointment letters Distributed Across India

The 14th tranche of appointments in various union ministries and departments as part of the Rozgar Mela was held at 45 different locations across the country today. In Tripura, the Rozgar Mela was held at BSF Tripura Frontier headquarters at Salbagan in Agartala. In the program, Inspector General of BSF A. K. Sharma and other officials from Assam Rifles and CRPF handed over the appointment letters to 311 new recruits out of 534 candidates selected from the state.

On the occasion, IG, BSF Mr. Sharma conveyed congratulations to the newly appointed youth, saying that the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, today presented 71,000 appointment letters to the youth, who earlier passed different stages of examinations. He said this initiative of Rozgar Mela bears a big significance in materialising the dreams of the youth.

He added that the central government has aimed at building up an Atmanirbhar Bharat, in which youth would have a great role to play. He remarked that the Centre has taken major strides to create job avenues, ways to quality jobs, and permanent jobs. ‘Rozgar Mela’ is one of the steps towards fulfilling the commitment of the government to accord the highest priority to employment generation amongst youth. The new appointees are inducted into various Central Ministries/Departments/Central Public Sector Undertakings (CPSUs)/Autonomous Bodies, including Health & Education Institutes, Armed Forces, Public Sector Banks, etc. Most of the new recruits from the state have appointments in BSF, CRPF, ITBP, CISF, SSB, Assam Rifles, the Department of Posts, and nationalised banks.

In Gangtok, MoS, Prataprao Jadhav conveyed its heartiest congratulations to youths who received letters of appointment today. Mr. Jadhav said that the vision that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi envisioned of Viksit Bharat by 2047 lies in the hands of this young generation. Mr. Jadhav also mentioned the Government of India has now eased the recruitment process of severe Central Government recruitments. The MoS mentioned every Central Government employee as Karmayogi and also ignited this feeling of significantly contributing to the growth of India among the new recruits who received letters of appointment today.

In Ladakh, 26 new recruits have received their appointment letter during the nationwide Rozgar Mela through video Conferencing from Prime Minister Narendra Modi as Ladakh is one of the 45 locations for the Nationwide 14th Rozgar Mela. Out of 26 appointees, 24 are in ITBP and 2 from the Postal Department have been appointed. Indo-Tibetan Border Police convened a function at its 5th Battalion in Leh to attend the nationwide Rozgar Mela.

Inspector General, North West Frontier ITBP Dr Akun Sabharwal congratulated the new appointees and expressed pride in joining the ITBP, he highlighted the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government in providing employment and employment generation for the youth. Rozgar Mela was attended by the Deputy Chairman of Leh Hill Council, Tsering Angchuk, Deputy Commissioner, Leh, SSP, Leh and parents and relatives of new appointees.

In Andhra Pradesh, K Ram Mohan Naidu, Union Minister of Civil Aviation at the 14th edition of the Rozgar Mela organised at Port Sagarmala Auditorium in Visakhapatnam today, said that Youth are the backbone of the country and should shoulder the responsibility to realise Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of Vikasit Bharat 2047. The Minister distributed job offer letters to 647 new recruits in various departments. He remarked that nearly 40 per cent of beneficiaries are from backward districts- Srikakulam and Vizianagaram which is a good indicator of the potential of the youth from these districts. The minister further added that Rozgar Mela recognised the commitment and hard work of the youth and called upon them to strive to make India a developed country by 2047.

In Madhya Pradesh, Rozgar Melas were organised in Bhopal, Indore, and Gwalior today. In the Rozgar Mela organised by the Sashastra Seema Bal Academy in Bhopal, more than 378 newly appointed youth were given appointment letters. Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Durga Das Uikey attended the event. He congratulated the youth.

In Hyderabad, Union ministers Kishen Reddy and Bandhi Sanjay Kumar today gave away appointment letters to the newly recruited persons at two separate programs held as part of the Rozgar Mela. Union Minister for Culture Kishen Reddy gave away appointment letters at a function at the CRPF (South) Centre in Chandrayangutta here while Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumat gave appointment letters at the CISF training centre at NISA at Hakimpet. Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister Kishen Reddy said the government is giving employment opportunities to youth to make partners in service of the country. Union Minister Bandi Sanjay said the government is committed to delivering the fruits of growth and welfare to the last person in the queue.

In West Bengal, 535 candidates have been given appointment letters in the Rozgar Mela organised in Kolkata and in Jalpaiguri. Shantanu Thakur, MoS Ports Shipping and Waterways, distributed appointment letters to 25 candidates at the State Bank of India Institute of Leadership at Newtown in Kolkata. Later, 246 candidates were given appointment letters.

Dr. Sukanta Majumdar, MoS Education, has given appointment letters to 25 candidates at the Radhabari Border Security Force camp in the Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal, where 264 appointment letters were given to the candidates. Today appointments were made in Postal, Health and Family Welfare, ITBP, SSB, BSF, and the central Railways in the government.

In Gujarat, Union Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya today distributed appointment letters to 287 newly appointed candidates at a Rozgar Mela held by Border Security Force in Gandhinagar.

Addressing on the occasion, Mr.  Mandaviya said that the government is aiming to provide government jobs to 10 lakh youth on merit with transparency. He said that to ensure that the youth are not left behind due to the language barrier, examinations have also been started in 11 languages. The Minister urged youths to take the country forward with commitment and dedication and with the spirit of Nation First.

In Mizoram, Union Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, and Panchayati Raj S P Singh Baghel has distributed 91 appointment letters to successful individuals at the Rozgar Mela held at Assam Rifles Hall in Aizawl today. 

Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister said that more than 10 lakh individuals have joined the government sector in the last one and a half years. He said that India is moving forward at a fast speed under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Congratulating those 91 individuals who got appointment letters today, Shri Baghel exhorted them to work sincerely and with full dedication for the welfare of the public. Out of 91 successful individuals, 76 individuals got appointment letters in the Assam Rifles, while 10 were in the Department of Post. Whereas 3 are in ITBP, 2 individuals are to be with SSB.
