Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari has emphasised the need to prevent road accidents caused by the movement of stray animals on national highways. In a social media post, he highlighted that due to the good condition of national highways in the country traffic has increased, and with this also the responsibility to ensure road safety. Mr Gadkari urged all Chief Ministers to enforce State rules strictly to manage stray animals on national highways. The Minister expressed confidence that the effort will save the lives of the people and the families who are disintegrated due to road accidents.
