Revenue Secretary Sanjay Malhotra has reiterated the government’s efforts to simplify the taxation system and make it paperless. Addressing the post-budget conference organised by ASSOCHAM in New Delhi today, Mr. Malhotra assured that the government has always been committed to simplifying the tax system. He said that the government has taken several measures to promote investments, spur growth, and provide employment opportunities for the youth.
Meanwhile, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs Chairman Sanjay Kumar said that Budget 2024 is not just a financial statement but a vision for the nation’s economic future. He described it as a roadmap guiding us toward growth, employment, development, and opportunity.
Central Board of Direct Taxes and Customs Chairman Ravi Agarwal praised the budget, noting that it includes several provisions related to simplification, standardization, making procedures easier, and reviewing existing provisions.
