In Telangana, the returning officers of 17 Lok Sabha Constituencies have rejected about 400 nominations during the scrutiny till late, last night. With this, the nominations of about 950 candidates were found to be valid, including those filed by candidates of major political parties. However, the figures may vary on the completion of the scrutiny of nominations. Over 14 hundred candidates have filed nominations in 17 Lok Sabha constituencies in the state. A large number of nominations were rejected due to various reasons. The number of nominations allowed is to be announced yet. Meanwhile, the last date to withdraw the nominations is the 29th of this month.
