The picture of four seats of the Maharashtra legislative council became clear today. Shri J. M. Abhyankar of Shiv Sena (UBT) was declared victorious in the Mumbai Division Graduates Constituency with 4,083 votes of first choice, whereas Shri Anil Parab of Shiv Sena (UBT) won the Mumbai Division Teachers Constituency seat with 44,784 first-choice votes. BJP’s Shri Niranjan Davkhare, who got 1,00,719 votes, was declared the winner in Konkan Division Graduates Constituency and Shiv Sena’s Shri Kishor Darade won the Nashik Division Teachers Constituency seat with 32,309 votes. The six-year term of four members of the Legislative Council is to expire on 7th July, leading to the polls. The voting for these 4 seats was held on 26th June and the counting was held on 1st July.
