In Tennis, reigning champion Novak Djokovic beat old rival Stan Wawrinka of Switzerland to reach the last 16 and move closer to an eighth men's singles Wimbledon title. Djokovic won 6-3 6-1 7-6 (7-5) last night.

World number one Spain's Carlos Alcaraz defeated Alexandre Muller of France 6-4 7-6 (7-2) 6-3 to move into the third round. 

Fifth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece beat two-time champion Andy Murray 7-6 (3), 6-7 (2), 4-6, 7-6 (3), 6-4 in round two. With this loss, Murray's hopes of a fine Wimbledon victory on the 10th anniversary of his 2013 title win ended.
