The Department of Banking Technology, School of Management, Pondicherry University, in collaboration with the Reserve Bank of India, organised a seminar on emerging trends in financial technology and Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) at the Jawaharlal Nehru Auditorium.

Delivering a special address, RBI Deputy General Manager Sirin Kumar detailed the evolving role of Central Bank Digital Currencies, their potential for enhancing financial inclusion, and the Reserve Bank’s digital rupee initiatives. RBI Deputy General Manager Muralidhar Manchala, who also participated in the seminar, focused on the impact of blockchain, artificial intelligence, and digital payments in financial services while underscoring the need for a strong regulatory framework.
