Congress candidate Ravindra Chavan has won the Nanded Lok Sabha bypoll defeating his nearest rival Santukrao Hambarde of BJP by 1 thousand 457 votes. While Ravindra Chavan received 5 lakh 86 thousand 788 votes, Dr. Santukrao Hambarde got 5 lakh 85 thousand 331 votes. The by-poll in Nanded Lok Sabha constituency was necessitated due to the death of sitting Congress MP Vasant Chavan. Ravindra Chavan is son of Vasant Chavan.
