Raksha Mantri urges Forces to remain prepared amidst current global situation

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh urged the top commanders of the armed forces to analyze events such as the Russia-Ukraine war, the Israel-Hamas conflicts, and the current situation in Bangladesh, and to remain prepared for any unforeseen challenges. On the second and final day of the apex-level military leadership meeting, the Defence Minister presided over the Joint Commanders’ Conference in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Speaking on the ocassion, he said that India is a peace loving nation and the Armed Forces need to be prepared for war in order to preserve peace. He stressed the importance of a more comprehensive and in-depth analysis by the senior military leadership, given the situation along the Northern border and the developments in neighboring countries that are threatening regional peace and stability.

        In line with the theme of the conference, “Sashakt aur Surakshit Bharat: Transforming the Armed Forces,” Mr. Rajnath Singh stressed the significance of evolving a joint military vision and preparing for the types of challenges the country may face in future wars, while emphasizing a synergized, swift, and proportionate response to provocations.

  The conference, which commenced yesterday, brought together the apex-level military leadership of the country, who deliberated on the current and future challenges to the nation in the context of national security.

  The Defence Minister also launched eight innovative applications, including e-Museum and e-Granthalaya, along with a publication titled “Colonial Practices and the Armed Forces: A Review,” marking a significant step towards greater cohesion and synergy among the three Services.
