Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh addresses Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana programme at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow on Vishwakarma Jayanti

Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh said with the launch of the Vishwakarma scheme, the traditional business will no longer be India's past but will become India's future. Raksha Mantri was addressing the Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana programme at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow on 17th September 2023 on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also participated in the event.

Mr. Singh said the country can be strengthened economically by empowering small workers. He added that PM Vishwakarma Yojana has been started to revive the skills of traditional artisans. He stated that our government thinks that our country cannot progress without promoting micro industries.

Raksha Mantri mentioned that the previous governments did not pay any attention to small industries, due to which the talent of traditional craftsmen and artisans got destroyed and their economic plight became worse. He said that as per the thinking of the Prime Minister, our government will work for the development of traditional artisans and craftsmen, and on the strength of these, India will move forward on the path of rapid development.

Addressing the programme, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that the picture of India has changed in the last nine years. Mr. Yogi said that India is emerging as a superpower of the world by becoming a symbol of the hopes and aspirations of 140 crore Indians, which is a ray of hope for all mankind. The whole world has realized India's global strength through the G-20, he added.
