Union Road, Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 11 highway projects worth 5 thousand 600 crore rupees in a program organized in Pratapgarh today.
Four projects with an investment of more than 3,700 crore rupees were inaugurated. At the same time, he laid the foundation stone of seven projects costing about 1900 crore rupees.
Addressing the programme, Mr. Gadkari said that the Central Government is leaving no stone unturned in the construction of roads and highways in the country.
On this occasion, Mr. Gadkari announced greenfield bypass in Udaipur city at a cost of one thousand crores, the construction of ring road in Jodhpur at a cost of two thousand crore rupees. He said that work will be started soon to complete the remaining part of Jaipur Ring Road. He also announced the construction of an elevated road in Sariska.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Ministers of state government and several MPs were present on the occasion.
