BJP today came down heavily on Rajasthan government over the law and order situation in the state. Briefing media in New Delhi, party spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla cited recent incidents of crime against women in the state including in Jamwa Ramgarh and Hanumangarh to target the Ashok Gehlot government. He alleged that Rajasthan under Congress rule leads in crime against women and the state has failed to take action in such cases. He said the Chief Minister dismisses rape cases by calling them fake. 

Mr. Poonawalla also questioned the Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi for not commenting on the incidents of women atrocities in Rajasthan. He added that not even a single member of the I.N.D.I.A alliance has condemned the disgraceful events in Rajasthan.
