Put in to bat first, Hyderabad created history by posting a huge total of 277 for three in the stipulated 20 overs. For Hyderabad, Heinrich Klaasen scored 80 off 34, Abhishek Sharma scored 63 off 23 and Travis Head scored 62 from 24 balls.
While chasing a target of 278, Mumbai Indians made 246 for the loss of five wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Tilak Verma with 64 from 34 was the top scorer for Mumbai. Klaasen was adjudged player of the match.
