Rajasthan badly affected by heavy rains in last three days

Life in the eastern districts of Rajasthan has been badly affected due to heavy rains occurring for the last three days. Very heavy rains have been recorded in many places during the last 24 hours. Extremely heavy rains have been recorded in Ramgarh Pachwara and Lalsot of Dausa district, Sapotra of Karauli and Sawaimadhopur. More than 25 people have died in rain-related accidents in the state in the last two days.

 

Due to heavy rain, low-lying areas in Dausa, Karauli and Sawaimadhopur districts are submerged. Roads have been blocked in many places. People are stuck in many places, NDRF and SDRF teams are engaged in rescue operations. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has directed the in-charge secretaries to visit the districts to take stock of the affected areas. Mr. Sharma has directed to form joint teams of departments and speed up rescue and relief operations. Meanwhile, the Met Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rain in Jaipur, Dausa, Sawai Madhopur, Karauli and Tonk districts for today. Warning has also been issued for many other districts.
