In Rajasthan, six people were killed and two injured after a massive fire broke out at a chemical factory in Bassi, Jaipur, last night. Nine fire tenders were pressed into service. Akashvani Correspondent has reported that villagers have blocked Jaipur-Agra highway demanding compensation and action against the factory owner. Police and administration officials are talking to the protesters.

Expressing grief over the incident, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal has assured all possible help to the affected families.
