Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, said the people’s sufferings in Wayanad reminded him of the pain he felt when his father died. He observed that many people lost not just their father but the entire family.

Speaking to media persons in Wayanad after visiting the hospital and a couple of relief camps, Rahul Gandhi described the landslide as a tragedy for Kerala and the entire nation. He said the whole nation is ready to help the people of Wayanad, and it must be ensured that they get the best possible care and protection.
