Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has said that quantum computing is a giant leap that will define innovation, accelerate scientific discovery and unlock multiple solutions to human problems once perceived as impossible. Inaugurating the 3rd International Quantum Communication Conclave in New Delhi today, Mr. Scindia said, the 3rd edition will lead to a new impetus for the National Quantum Mission. He added that quantum technology now stands poised to redefine computing, communication and national security.
The Minister highlighted that our current security systems are RSA-based and rely on factoring large prime numbers, but quantum computers can crack the keys within seconds. He also underlined the need to shift quantum-safe communication system technologies to withstand the most powerful quantum effects.
Mr. Scindia underscored that the United Nations has already declared this year as the year of quantum technology, and India has already displayed its leadership through the G20 summit and World Telecommunication Standardisation Assembly.
Talking about the terror attacks in Pahalgam, Mr Scindia stated that the inhuman elements have tried to strike at the soul of the country, but India will rise faster and higher. He added that the people of India stand united across every state, every faith and with one voice
