Purbodoi Sahitya Utsab 2025 – a three-day-long literary conclave began yesterday in Kolkata. National Book Trust, Institute of Social and Cultural Studies (ISCS) and other organisations are jointly organising the festival. Governor Dr C V Ananda Bose inaugurated the event. Arindam Mukherjee, Director ISCS said litterateurs from West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Assam, and Sikkim participated in the event. Various workshops are being arranged. A separate book fair is arranged on the sidelines of the festival.
