Punjab’s Former Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal has expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the two Punjab Police Cops who saved his life during an assassination bid on him on Wednesday.

In a social media post today, posting pictures of hugging both the cops, Assistant Sub Inspectors, Jasbir Singh and Hira Singh, who are part of his security team, Mr Badal wrote that he and his family cannot repay the loyalty and courage shown by them to save his life. Risking one’s life to save someone’s life is not an easy task. Both of them have been part of the family since the days of Late Sh. Prakash Singh Badal, former Chief Minister, Punjab.

An assassination attempt was made on Mr Sukhbir Badal by a former Khalistani terrorist Narain Singh Chaura on Wednesday morning when Mr Badal was serving penance given by Sri Akal Takhat Sahib while sitting in a wheelchair outside the Golden Temple. He was produced in the court on Thursday which remanded him for three-days of police custody for investigation.
