Punjab will be introducing sign language in its Legislative Assembly to facilitate persons who are unable to speak or hear.

State Social Security, Women and Child Development Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur, who initiated this facility to be included in the proceedings of the assembly sessions has urged the Assembly administration to implement this initiative at the earliest.

She said that the implementation would contribute to making the proceedings fully accessible to the concerned individuals.
