In Punjab, taking action against the menace of drugs, a house of a drug mafia in village Talwandi of Ludhiana has been bulldozed by the police, late last night.

A government source informed our Jalandhar Correspondent that the accused was involved in drug smuggling for the last 3 years. Six FIRs were registered against him.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Secretary, KAP Sinha has issued stern directions to the Deputy Commissioners across the state to wipe out the menace of drugs from their respective jurisdictions.

Fixing the responsibility of the deputy commissioners, Mr Sinha has directed that action should be taken on a war footing and every DC should be ready in the coming days with a foolproof plan.
