Punjab organises workshop on ‘Cyber Crime, Forensics & Law’

In Punjab, to deal with technology-driven crimes to safeguard the critical infrastructure, including power grids, water systems, and transportation networks, a special workshop on ‘Cyber Crime, Forensics and Law’ was organised, yesterday, in which these challenges and the need for forensic investigation were discussed.

 

Attended by State Power and PWD Minister, Harbhajan Singh ETO, former and present members of the judiciary, legal luminaries and cyber experts, the state government assured that it is committed to strengthening cyber resilience by implementing robust cybersecurity frameworks.

 

The need for a collaborative approach, involving legal experts, technology specialists, law enforcement agencies, and civil society, to combat cyber threats was also acknowledged. Students and young professionals were also motivated to specialise in cybersecurity and cyber law which will not only help them in contributing towards the security of the society but would also give them a promising career.
