Minister of State for Railways and Food Processing Industries, Ravneet Singh Bittu has asked the Congress President and Congress MPs to demand a CBI investigation into the MSP which the Punjab farmers have not received.
The Minister, who was in Jalandhar yesterday to inspect the redevelopment of Cantonment Railway Station, said that the Centre has already sent 44 thousand crore rupees to Punjab as MSP. He asked the Congress to demand CBI enquiry into it from the Prime Minister other senior BJP leaders and Punjab Governor.
The Minister said that the new modern building of the railway station equipped with world-class facilities will be dedicated to the public by April, next year.
On the ongoing works under the Ferozpur Railway Division, the Minister said that 12 railway stations in Punjab are being revamped under the Amrit Bharat stations project with a cost of 270 Crore rupees.
He said the proposal has been initiated by the Ferozpur division to install an anti-collision system, KAVACH in 1513 km covering many stations in Punjab and J&K.
