The Punjab Government has suspended State Vigilance Bureau Chief, SPS Parmar, today for his grave misconduct and dereliction of duty. Two other officers of the department, Senior Superintendent of Police Harpreet Singh Mander and Assistant Inspector General Swarandeep Singh, have also been suspended for the same reason. They were reportedly suspended for their alleged inaction during an investigation into a driving licence scam.
