Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Katari has cautioned that if the society failed to stop the youth of Punjab from drug addiction in time, it may not be able to save them from its harmful outcome.

He said Punjab is on the top in drug addiction in the country. As per a survey, 22 lakh people are connected with drugs here. He called upon all to join hands to end this menace collectively.

The Governor, who is on a 6-day padyatra, which had begun from Dera Baba Nanak in Gurdaspur, is in Amritsar now to aware people of the bad effects of drug addiction. The yatra will conclude at Jallianwala Bagh tomorrow.
