In Punjab, the flood situation continues to be grim as several more villages in TaranTaran and Ferozpur districts have marooned in flood water today. Authorities with the help of Army, NDRF and other agencies are trying to help marooned people. Several trains have been cancelled due to the ongoing flood situation.

As per reports more than twenty thousand peoples of nearly one hundred villages have been affected in the current flood furry. Several villages marooned in flood water after breach in Dhussi Bandh in TaranTaran district. People tried to fill this breach but couldn't succeed. Similarly, the flood water entered more than twenty villages of Ferozpur district. The schools in affected areas have been closed till next order while railway has cancelled several trains from Ferozpur to Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur and Pathankot rail routes. The marooned people in Gurdaspur district are annoyed as they are not getting proper aid from government.
