Punjab Election Results: Congress Clinches 7 Seats, Aam Aadmi Party Secures Hoshiarpur, Anandpur Sahib And Sangrur Victories

In Punjab, results have been declared for 13 seats. Congress has won 7 seats. Aam Aadmi party has won Hoshiarpur, Anandpur Sahib and Sangrur seats. Shiromani Akali Dal candidate Harsimrat Kaur Badal has won Bhatinda seat by over 49 thousand votes. She defeated Gurmeet Singh Khudian of Aam Aadmi party. Charanjit Singh Channi of Congress has won from Jalandhar seat defeating Sushil Kumar Rinku of BJP by over 1 lakh 75 thousand votes. Amar Singh of Congress defeated his nearest rival Gurpreet Singh GP of Aam Aadmi Party in Fatehgarh Sahib seat by over 34 thousand votes. Independent candidates have won 2 seats.

 

In Haryana Congress has won three seats and its candidates are leading in 2 seats. Selja has won Sirsa Lok Sabha seat defeating Ashok Tanwar of BJP by over 2 lakh 68 thousand votes. BJP has won 3 seats and is leading in 2 seats. Naveen Jindal has won from Kurukshetra seat defeating Dr. Sushil Gupta of Aam Aadmi party by a margin of over 29 thousand votes. Rao Inderjit Singh of BJP defeated his nearest rival and Congress candidate Raj Babbar by over 75 thousand votes.

 

In lone Lok Sabha seat in Chandigarh, Congress candidate Manish Tewari has won defeating Sanjay Tandon of BJP by over 2 thousand 5 hundred votes.

 

In Delhi, BJP has won 5 seats and is leading in 2 constituencies. Its candidate Praveen Khandelwal has won Chandni Chowk seat defeating Jaiprakash Aggarwal by a margin of over 89 thousand 3 hundred votes. Ramvir Singh Bidhuri defeated his nearest rival Sahi Ram of Aam Aadmi Party by over 1 lakh 24 thousand votes. Bansuri Swaraj has won from New Delhi seat.

 

In Ladakh, Independent candidate Mohmad Hanifa has won the lone Parliamentary seat defeating Tsering Nangyal of Congress by over 27 thousand 8 hundred votes.

 

Muhammed Hamdullah Sayeed of Congress has won Lakshdweep Lok Sabha seat defeating Mohammed Faizal PP of NCP-Sharad Pawar by over 2 thousand 6 hundred votes.

 

In Jammu and Kashmir, results of all five seats have been declared. BJP and National Conference have won 2 seats each and 1 seat has been bagged by an Independent candidate. In Srinagar, National Conference candidate Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi defeated Waheed ur Rehman Para of People’s Democratic Party by over 1 lakh 88 thousand votes. Mian Altaf Ahmad of National Conference defeated PDP candidate Mehbooba Mufti by over 2 lakh 79 thousand votes in Anantnag Rajouri. BJP leader and Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh defeated Chowdhary Lal Singh of Congress by over 1 lakh 24 thousand votes. BJP Candidate Jugal Kishore won Jammu Lok Sabha seat defeating Raman Bhalla of Congress by over 1 lakh 35 thousand votes. Independent Abdul Rashid Sheikh defeated former Chief Minister and National Conference president Omar Abdullah by a margin of over 2 lakh 4 thousand votes.

 

In Himachal Pradesh, BJP has bagged all 4 seats. Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur has won Hamirpur seat defeating Satpal Raizada of Congress by over 1 lakh 82 thousand votes. In Mandi seat actress Kangana Ranaut defeated Vikramaditya Singh of Congress by over 74 thousand 7 hundred votes. Dr. Rajeev Bhardwaj emerged victorious in Kangra while Suresh Kumar Kashyap secured Shimla seat.

 

In Assam, BJP has won Kaziranga seat and is leading in 8 seats. Congress is leading in 3 seats, Asom Gana Parishad and United People’s Party (Liberal) in 1 seat each. BJP candidate and Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal is leading in Dibrugarh by over 2 lakh 79 thousand votes.

 

In Tripura, BJP has won all two seats. Its candidate and former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb defeated Ashish Kumar Saha of Congress in Tripura West Parliamentary seat by over 6 lakh 11 thousand 5 hundred votes. BJP candidate Kriti Devi Debbarman defeated Rajendra Reang of CPIM by over 4 lakh 86 thousand votes.

 

In Arunachal Pradesh, BJP candidate and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju has won Arunachal West Parliamentary constituency by over 1 lakh votes defeating Nabam Tuki of Congress. BJP candidate Tapir Gao defeated his nearest rival Bosiram Siram of Congress by over 30 thousand votes.

 

In Manipur, Congress has won all two seats.

 

In Mizoram, Richard Vanlalhmangaiha of Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) defeated his nearest rival K. Vanlalvena of Mizo National Front by over 68 thousand votes.

 

In Nagaland, Congress candidate S.S Jamir has won the lone Lok Sabha seat defeating Dr, Chumben Murry by over 50 thousand 9 hundred votes.

 

In Meghalaya, Congress candidate Saleng A Sangma has won Tura seat by over 1 lakh 55 thousand votes defeating Agatha Sangma of National People’s party. Voice of the Pepole Party (VOTPP) candidate Dr. Ricky Andrew J Singkon has bagged Shillong seat defeating Vincent H Pala of Congress by over 3 lakh 71 thousand votes.

 

Sikkim Krantikari Morcha (SKM) candidate Indra Hang Subba has won Sikkim Lok Sabha seat defeating Bharat Basnett of Citizen Action Party- Sikkim by over 80 thousand votes.

 

In Andman and Nicobar Islands, BJP candidate Bishnu Pada Ray has won by a margin of over 24 thousand 3 hundred votes. He defeated Kuldeep Rai Sharma of Congress.

 

BJP candidate Kalaben Delkar Mohanbhai has won Dadra and Nagar Haveli seat, while Independent candidate Umeshbhai Babubhai Patel has won Daman and Diu Lok Sabha seat by defeating Lalu Bhai Babu Bhai Patel of BJP by over 6 thousand votes.
