District Election Officer A. Kulothungan informed that  34 candidates either as a candidate of political parties or as independent candidates filed 45 nominations from the 20th of March till today to contest in Puducherry Loksabha Constituency. He further informed that all the 45 nominations would be reviewed tomorrow. The last date for the Candidates to withdraw their nominations is the 30th of March and, on the same day, the final list of candidates with election symbols will be released, concluded Mr. Kulothungan.

Today, on the last day of nomination, the sitting MP Shri V.Vaithilingam has filed for nomination as INC candidate.
