In his condolence message, Lieutenant Governor K. Kailashnathan noted that the Pope consistently dedicated himself to the service of the people, stood firmly against global conflicts, and advocated for peace across nations.

Chief Minister N. Rangasamy also mourned the Pope’s demise, describing it as an irreparable loss to humanity.
