In Bangladesh, the advisory council of the interim government, headed by Prof. Muhammad Yunus, expanded this evening with the oath-taking of three new advisers. With this, the interim government now comprises 24 advisers.
President, Mohammed Shahabuddin, administered the oath to the new advisers at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban in Dhaka.
Earlier in the day, General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Bangladesh’s Chief of Army Staff, paid a courtesy call to Chief Adviser Prof. Yunus, briefing him on the country’s overall law and order situation.
