President Droupadi Murmu on 15th August 2023 visited the National War Memorial in the national capital and paid tributes to the Martyrs on the occasion of 77th Independence Day. She laid a wreath at the Memorial and paid homage to the Martyrs.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Minister of State for Defence Ajay Bhatt, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Army Chief General Manoj Pande, Indian Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar and Indian Air Force Chief, Air Chief Marshal V R Chaudhari were present on the occasion.
