President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have extended greetings on the occasion of Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti. In a social media post, the President said, the epic Ramayana composed by Adi Kavi Valmiki has gifted human society with the divine story of Lord Shri Ram. She also said, unique depictions of human ideals are found in the Ramayana. The President urged everyone to follow the path of ideals described by Adi Kavi.

On the occasion, the Vice President wished that Maharishi Valmiki’s blessings of knowledge, compassion, truth, and religion remain upon everyone. He also wished that the Adi Kavi’s teachings continue to guide the country and keep unity and harmony intact in the society.

In a message shared on social media, the Prime Minister said, the great thoughts of Maharishi Valmiki inspire millions of people. He said, Adi Kavi Valmiki composed the epic Ramayana for the guidance of upcoming generations. Mr Modi said, Maharishi Valmiki stressed on positive thinking and gave importance to service and human dignity. He said, Adi Kavi’s ethics and ideals are the inspiration and guidance for New India.
