President Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have greeted people on the auspicious occasion of Sri Guru Nanak Jayanti. In a social media post, President Murmu said that Guru Nanak Dev Ji has shown people the path of spirituality based on hard work, and taught them how to build a society based on truth, contentment, kindness and love. She added that Guru Nanak Dev Ji emphasized Sanjhi-Valta in social life, which is the path to social harmony. President Murmu highlighted that he is a towering figure of light and it is the people’s collective responsibility to adopt his ideals and build a harmonious and egalitarian society.

Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankar urged people to reaffirm their commitment to Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s timeless wisdom. He asked people to rededicate themselves to the principles of truth, harmony, and the unity of all beings.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoped that the teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji inspire people to further the spirit of compassion, kindness and humility. He wished that it also motivates people to serve society and make the planet better.
