President Droupadi Murmu has greeted fellow citizens on the occasion of Prakash Parv of Guru Nanak. In her message, the President extended her greetings and wishes to all Indians living in India and abroad, especially the Sikh community. She said that Guru Nanak emphasizes love, faith, truth and sacrifice and his teachings guide people towards moral ethics. President Murmu said Guru Nanak established the practice of Community Kitchen, known as Langar, and advocated brotherhood. She said he inspired all to follow the path of spirituality to attain knowledge and renunciation while fulfilling their social responsibilities.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar also extended greetings to the people on the 555th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak. Mr Dhankhar said his life stands as a beacon of enlightenment, guiding people towards a path of spiritual fulfilment, equality, compassion, and service to humanity. He urged people to reaffirm their commitment to Guru Nanak’s timeless wisdom and rededicate themselves to the principles of truth, harmony, and the unity of all beings.
