President Droupadi Murmu, Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi today wished the people of Jharkhand on the foundation day of the state. In a social media post, President Murmu said that many heroes like Bhagwan Birsa Munda, Veer Sido-Kanhu, Chand-Bhairav, Tilka Manjhi and Nilambar-Pitambar have made the land of Jharkhand proud. She added that Jharkhand is a state, rich in natural resources and its people have made an invaluable contribution to the progress of the country. President Murmu highlighted that Jharkhand’s society, especially the tribal society, is known for its cultural characteristics as well. She wished that Jharkhand reached new heights of development with a bright future for the people.

Vice-President Dhankar said that blessed with abundant natural resources, diverse wildlife and a rich cultural tapestry, Jharkhand has been a significant contributor to India’s story of growth. He highlighted that its vibrant tribal communities have been the bedrock of its identity, with their rich traditions, deep-rooted connection to nature and invaluable contributions to the freedom struggle. Mr Dhankar wished that Jharkhand continues to flourish and achieve new milestones of progress and prosperity in the years to come.

Prime Minister Modi said that the land of Jharkhand is irrigated by the struggle and sacrifice of the tribal society that has always made the country proud. He wished that the state, full of natural resources, progressed at a rapid pace.
