In a social media post, Ms Murmu said that Mr Mohanty won the hearts of countless viewers by playing the lead role in many Odia films, and his contribution to the development of Odia films will always be remembered. Calling the actor a sweet-spoken and humble gentleman, President Murmu added that the actor was the idol of all. Sharing condolences to the family and fans of Mr Mohanty, the president asserted that the demise of the actor has caused an irreparable loss to the Odia film world.
