President Droupadi Murmu has extended greetings to the citizens on the eve of Vaisakhi, Vishu, Bohag Bihu, Poila Boishakh, Meshadi, Vaishakhadi, and Puthandu Pirapu. In her message, the President wished that these vibrant festivals inspire people to work with commitment and dedication towards the development of the nation. She highlighted that these festivals, celebrated during the harvest season in various parts of India, symbolise the country’s rich social traditions and unity in diversity.
The President said that through these festivals, the nation honors the hard work of country’s ‘Annadata’ farmers and expresses its gratitude to them. She added that these festivals also convey the message of preserving nature and protecting the country’s cultural legacy.
