President Droupadi Murmu has extended greetings to all the teachers in the country on the eve of Teacher's Day. In her message, she said this day marks the birth anniversary of the great educationist, philosopher, and former President of India Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. She said Teachers' Day is an occasion when the nation honours the profession of teaching and recognizes the services and efforts of teachers toward building the future of the students. President Murmu said the role of teachers has acquired new dimensions in the era of technology.
She said the teachers should continuously evolve and adopt the latest methods of imparting education and also keep in mind the significance of value-based education at the same time. She added that the contribution of teachers in building an equitable and inclusive society and transforming India into the knowledge hub of the world is more important than ever.
