President Droupadi Murmu has extended her greetings to all citizens, especially the Christian community residing in India and abroad, on the eve of Easter.

In her message, the President said that the sacred festival of Easter, commemorating the resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ, conveys a message of selfless love and service. President Murmu added that the sacrifice of Jesus Christ teaches the values of renunciation and forgiveness, and His life inspires humanity to follow the path of truth, justice, and compassion. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar also extended greetings to all citizens across India, especially the Christian communities celebrating the sacred occasion. In his message, the Vice President said that Easter symbolizes hope and renewal through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He added that the timeless teachings of compassion, forgiveness, and service by Jesus Christ guide citizens toward building a harmonious society. Mr. Dhankhar wished that the holy day inspire everyone to renew their commitment to the welfare of the vulnerable, and that peace and renewal fill the homes and communities of the nation.
