President Droupadi Murmu arrives at Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur, for 3-day visit to Vidarbha region

President  Droupadi Murmu arrived at Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur this evening for a three-day visit to the Vidarbha region. Governor of Maharashtra, Ramesh Bais, Governor of Punjab, Banwarilal Purohit, Chief Minister Of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis welcomed her on her first state visit.

The President will be addressing the 10th convocation of Gondwana University in Gadchiroli tomorrow morning.  6 students who have won gold medals in the various academic branches will be honoured at the hands of the President during this convocation ceremony.  

On The same day in the afternoon, President Draupadi Murmu will  inaugurate the Ramayana cultural center of Bhartiya Vidya  Bhawan in the Koradi temple area. This center’s first floor has an attractive display of Ramayana in pictorial form while the heroic story of the freedom fighters from 1857 to 1947 is depicted through paintings on the second floor.

On the morning of Thursday, July 6th , the President will interact with members of the particularly vulnerable tribal groups at Raj Bhavan in Nagpur. After that the President will leave for Mumbai.
