President Droupadi Murmu has appealed to the students that while thinking about their higher education, also think about those people in society who have been left behind in the journey of development. The President was addressing the convocation ceremony organized to commemorate the silver jubilee year of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management- Triple ITM, at Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh today.
The President said, it is the responsibility of every person in the society, especially youth, to understand the participation in the development of the backward people of the society. Ms Murmu advised the students that in order to move forward in life, it is necessary to keep examining the path they are walking on from time to time. She said, if you choose the right path with determination and move forward, you will definitely achieve your goal and satisfaction in life.
The convocation ceremony was also addressed by MP Governor Mangu Bhai Patel, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Union Civil Aviation and Steel Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. At the ceremony, the President conferred the honorary degree of Doctor of Science upon Padma Vibhushan Dr. Anil Kakodkar, former chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission. In addition, gold medals were awarded to seven students and degrees to 283 students.
