President Draupadi Murmu will be on a day-long visit to Madhya Pradesh today. She will attend the fourth convocation ceremony of Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Gwalior as the chief guest. President Murmu will also participate in other programmes.
President Mrs. Draupadi Murmu will arrive in Gwalior at around 11.30 am. The President will first visit Maharaja Sir Jivajirao Scindia Museum, Jai Vilas Palace.
The President will visit the various galleries and exhibitions of the museum including Durbar Hall. The President will attend the fourth convocation ceremony of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management as the chief guest at around 2.45 pm. Smt. Murmu will also lay the foundation stone of Boys Hostel at Triple ITM.
At the convocation ceremony, the President will confer the honorary degree of Doctor of Science to Padma Vibhushan Dr. Anil Kakodkar, former chairman of the Atomic Energy Commission. Apart from this, gold medals will be awarded to seven students and degrees to 283 students. Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Jyotiraditya Scindia as well as Madhya Pradesh Governor Mangubhai Patel and Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will also be present at the convocation ceremony.
