Prarthana Thombare and Arianne Hartono to face Russian pair in Women’s Doubles final today

In the Mumbai Open Tennis tournament, the Indian-Dutch duo of Prarthana Thombare and Arianne Hartono will take on the Russian pair of Amina Anshba and Elena Pridankina in the Women’s Doubles final today. The match is scheduled to start at 5 PM. This will be the second consecutive year that Thombare and Hartono have reached the final, having fallen short in last year’s title match.  In the Women’s Singles event, India’s 15-year-old Maaya Rajeshwaran’s remarkable run came to an end in the semifinals yesterday. She was defeated by Switzerland’s Jil Teichmann in straight sets, 3-6, 1-6. In the other semifinal, Mananchaya Sawangkaew of Thailand defeated Rebecca Marino of Canada to book her spot in the final.
