In Assam, the Ports, Shipping and Waterways ministry is holding a road show on Global Maritime India Summit, 2023 in Guwahati now. Union Minister Sarbanand Sonowal and ministers from Bangladesh and Bhutan have participated in the event. The Global Maritime India Summit is a flagship event aimed at propelling the Indian maritime economy by promoting global and regional partnerships and facilitating investments. It is a strategic meeting of the Indian and international maritime community to address key industry issues and exchange ideas to bring the sector forward. The 3- day event will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be held in New Delhi in the month of October this year.
