The polling to all the 20 constituencies in Kerala was held on Friday in single phase. State had recorded a polling of 70.22%as per official sources.

High polling was reported in Kerala today inspite of the soaring temperature and heat wave alert in the State. Since morning most of the polling booths had seen large queue of voters. The polling which was scheduled to end at 6 pm had continued further to late evening in many constituencies as voters were waiting in the queue. Polling was very peaceful in the State except few technical issues which was rectified later. Kerala had witnessed high intense campaigns in the last months as the three major fronts, BJP led NDA, Congress led UDF, CPI( M) led LDF had left no stone unturned for ensuring victory for their sides.194 candidates are in fray for the 20 Loksabha seats in Kerala. Kerala had grapped national attention with the presence of Senior BJP candidates like Rajiv Chandrashekhar, V.Muraleedharan, K.Surendran etc and prominent congress leaders like Shashi Tharoor, Rahul Gandhi etc. As Kerala had voted its decision, the electoral prediction is near to impossible, as a very tight triangular contest is expected in most of the constituencies in Kerala.
