In Manipur, the polling personnels detailed for interior and far flung areas have started their journey to the designated polling stations from today.

The polling personnels detailed for the polling stations of Henglep SubDivision were flagged off by the District Election Officer of Churachandpur district today. The Sub-Division is situated in the interior area. Most polling personnel deputed to the far flung areas are expected to depart the district headquarters tomorrow in Manipur.

Meanwhile, the campaigning for the Lok Sabha Election in Manipur will end tomorrow at 4 PM. In the first phase of polls to be held on April 19, 47 Assembly Constituencies will go to poll. Among these constituencies, 15 constituencies belong to Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency.

In the first phase, polls will be conducted at one thousand four hundred and four polling stations including eighty five polling stations set up for those taking shelter at relief camps.
