In Ladakh, preparation for the General Elections to the Lok Sabha, polling parties for all 44 polling stations in the Zanskar Subdivision were dispatched today from Khree Sultan Chow Sports Stadium, Kargil. District Election Officer (DEO) Shrikant Balasaheb Suse, SP Kargil and other officials flagged off the polling parties. The DEO informed the media that polling parties for remote areas such as Phema, Ralakun, and Shadey were dispatched yesterday by IAF helicopters. Expressing satisfaction with the preparations, the DEO assured that all necessary arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the elections. The DEO urged the public to participate enthusiastically and cast their votes without fear on May 20th.
