In Haryana, the polling for civic local body elections started at 8 am today and will continue till 6 pm. Union Minister Manohar Lal reached Karnal exercised his franchise and appealed to the people to vote in large numbers and elect a good local government. Initially, polling was slow in Faridabad and Rohtak but now people are coming in large numbers to vote. Nineteen to 35 per cent voting was reported from different places till noon. Our reporter from Kurukshetra reports, 30 per cent voting took place in Ismailabad and 19 per cent in Thanesar till noon.
