Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of various infrastructural and development projects worth over 280 crore rupees in Ekta Nagar this evening. The Prime Minister who is on a two-day visit to Gujarat also addressed the Officer Trainees of the 99th Common Foundation Course in Aarambh 6.0. They include 653 Officer Trainees from across 16 civil services in India and 3 civil services of Bhutan. This year the theme of the theme for this year’s programme is “Roadmap for Aatmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat.
Akashvani correspondent reports that the projects inaugurated today include, a 4 MW Solar project and a Sub-District Hospital, in Ekta Nagar. Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for the Bonsai Garden and Sardar Sarovar Dam experience centre.
The newly constructed sub-district hospital, having a capacity of 50 beds was built at a cost of ₹22 crore. The hospital will provide essential medical services to the citizens of Ekata Nagar. For the ease of tourists visiting the Statue of Unity, 10 smart bus stands and pick-up stands were also inaugurated today in the first phase along with one 4 MW Solar Power project. Apart from this, the world-class bonsai garden focusing on sustainable development will soon be developed as a new tourist attraction. The Sardar Sarovar Dam Experience Centre is also being established which will showcase the dam’s operations and its transformative impact through six galleries.
