PM Narendra Modi Addresses Election Rally In Tripura

Prime Minister and BJP leader Narendra Modi launched a scathing attack against the Congress-Communist Party’s ‘INDI alliance’ in Tripura and said that the two parties are bitter foes in the southern state of Kerala.

Addressing an election rally for party candidates for Tripura West and Tripura East seats in Agartala, Mr. Modi without naming said that the Congress’ Yuvraj went to Kerala to salvage his pride after losing from a parliamentary constituency in Uttar Pradesh.

He said on one side where the BJP says, Bhrashtachar Hatao, Congress says, Bhrashtachari Bachao.

Calling the Congress-Communists as opportunists, he said both these parties had been working toward one objective and that was “Loot East” policy. But when the BJP-led Government came to power, the Congress-CPIM’s  Loot East Policy had been put behind lock and key, he said.

Appealing to the people of the state to vote for BJP’s nominees,  he said that the Government at the Centre consistently thinks and works for the development of Tripura. He said the government’s thrust is on improving connectivity in Tripura.

He also informed the people who had come from far-flung areas of the state that he had visited the North East as many as 50 times.

He said through Kisan Samman Nidhi, the amount is directly transferred into the bank accounts of 2.5 lakh farmers from Tripura and more than three lakh women have received gas connections in the state.

Mr. Modi said, in the last 10 years, what BJP has done is just a trailer, adding that the party’s manifesto which is called the Sankalp Patra, will prove to be prosperous for the state.
