Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a three-day visit to the United States from 21st to 23rd of this month. Briefing the media in New Delhi today, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri said, during the visit, Prime Minister Modi will interact with several foreign leaders and interact with the Indian diaspora in the US. He said, the Prime Minister will also meet with a host of business and industry leaders.
The Foreign Secretary said Mr. Modi will take part in the Quad Leaders’ Summit in Wilmington, Delaware, on Saturday. He said India will hold the next QUAD Summit in 2025. Speaking about the agenda of the India-US bilateral meeting, Mr Misri informed that there will be a review of the Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership between the two countries. He said, there will also be exchange of agreements related to Indo-Pacific Economic Framework (IPEF) and India-US Drug Framework. On the sidelines of the summit, bilateral meetings with the leaders of Japan and Australia are also on the cards.

Mr Misri said the Prime Minister will travel to New York to attend the Summit of the Future at the United Nations on Monday. The theme of the Summit is ‘Multilateral Solutions for a Better Tomorrow’. India will press upon the issues of inclusive and equitable sustainable development, highlighting the developmental needs and aspirations of the Global South. India will also highlight the Indian approach, initiatives and achievements in this regard.
On the issue of peace and security, Mr. Misri highlighted that at the time when worldwide tensions, divisions and conflict are on the rise, India will focus on importance of diplomacy and dialogue to reduce tensions.
Mr. Misri added that Prime Minister Modi will interact with the Indian diaspora on Sunday at Long Island, New York. He will also meet CEOs of leading US-based companies to foster greater collaborations between the two countries in the areas of AI, quantum computing, semiconductors and biotechnology.
